Nancy Lea Bartell, 80, was set free of pain on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Pathstone Living in Mankato. Memorial Services will be held at 11am Thursday December 12, 2024 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church. Private family interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Bethlehem Lutheran Church. woodlandhillfsfh.com
Nancy was born January 1, 1944 in Sparta, Wisconsin to Ernest and Evelyn (Whalen) Goettlicher. She graduated from Mankato High School. Nancy was united in marriage to William Bartell on May 25, 1968. She worked as a Nurse’s Assistant and various other positions at Immanuel St. Joseph’s Hospital. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting, fishing, trap shooting she also loved late night, Coca Cola, Jaw Breakers and spending time with her family. Nancy was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her sons, Brett (Amber) Bartell of Cleveland and Jason Bartell of Apple Valley; daughter, Laurie (Gene) Bentdahl of Mankato; grandchildren, Mike (Jill) Bentdahl, Madi (Troy) Bentdahl, Leah (Tyler) Bartell and Jocelyn and Bode Bartell; brother, Chris (Judy) Goettlicher of Nicollet; sisters, Janet Gaul of Mankato and Judith (Dennis) Stover of North Mankato; sister in-law, Gayle Goettlicher of Good Thunder; and several nieces and nephews.
Nancy is preceded in death by her husband, William Bartell; parents; siblings, Gary Goetttlicher, Michael Goettlicher, Patricia Ryan, and Greg Goettlicher.
