Nancy Lee Schneider

Nancy Lee Schneider, age 82, of Mankato, MN, died Monday June 22, 2026 surrounded by family.  A Celebration of Nancy’s life is 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 26, at Woodland Hills Funeral Chapel in Mankato with Fr. Mark McNea officiating.  Visitation will be 1hour prior to the service.  Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery. Woodland Hills Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Nancy was born November 20, 1943 in St. Paul, Minnesota and proudly adopted shortly afterwards by Leo and Julia (Beer) Schneider of Mankato.  In 1980 she moved to Harry Meyering Center and worked at MRCI in Mankato and recently received her 50-year award.

Nancy also worked at the food court in River Hills Mall, enjoyed bowling, swimming, Aktion Theatre Club, Miracle League Baseball, Jesus Cares Bible Study, journalling, creatively cutting paper and gardening.  Nancy was very proud to be a two-time Breast Cancer Survivor.

Nancy is survived by her niece, Elaine (Brett) Sundell of Mankato; nephew, Michael Browne of St. Peter, MN; Patti Browne; great nephews, Matthew and Joshua; great nieces, Emily and Lily; great-great nephew, Jaxyn; the staff at Harry Meyering Center; many cousins and friends; and her beloved cat, Oliver.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister Rita Browne and husband Thomas; nephew, Lee Browne.
