Neva Sickler, 89, passed away at the Mapleton Community Home, Mapleton, MN on Monday, April 15, 2024.
Neva requested no funeral service. Woodland Hills Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements. www.woodlandhillsfh.com
Neva Robbins was born December 8, 1934 in Rapidan Township. She attended and graduated from Mapleton High School in 1952. She married Wayne Sickler and they later divorced.
She was employed many years as a cashier and enjoyed outings with her co-workers from Casey’s when the store was located on Mapleton’s Main Street.
Neva enjoyed visiting with family and friends. At home you could find her sitting at her kitchen table playing Solitaire, or working on crossword puzzles.
Neva is survived by her four children; Larry Sickler of Delavan, MN, Debra (David) Oliver of Mankato, MN, David (Shawn) Sickler of Madison Lake, MN, and Laurie (Rod) Tolzmann of Baldwin, WI; step-sister, Kathy Gillman of Del Norte, CO; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mabel and Vern Hawk of Truman, MN; grandparents, Myrtle and Charles Samuelson of Mapleton, MN; sister and brother-in law, Nina and Don Jans of Mankato, MN; step-sister, Carmen Hedin; grandchildren, Jenny Sickler, Alan Tolzmann and Todd Oliver.
Neva’s family would like to thank the Mapleton Community Home staff for the care and compassion they provided to their mother. The family would also like to thank the Mankato Ecumen Hospice Staff for their care, comfort, and devoted support.
