Nina Sue (Goodman) Stuve
82, of Mankato, passed away Monday December 9th, 2024, peacefully surrounded by loved ones at home after a battle with lung cancer. Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at Centenary United Methodist Church at 501 S. 2nd Street Mankato, Visitation will be 4-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 17 at Woodland Hills Funeral Home in Mankato and will continue one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be at Woodland Hills Memorial Park.
Nina was born September 3rd, 1942 to Edward James and June (Flurry) Goodman in Piggott, AR. Nina was united in marriage to Donald Stuve Jr. on July 29th, 1961 in Sun Valley CA. She was a home maker until the children were off to school and then worked for many years for the Mankato Free Press. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband Don, Children Dewey Stuve of Mankato, Ron (Kitty) Stuve of Mankato, Tammy (Tom) Petterson of Lake Crystal and Dawn (Ken) Kroells of North Mankato. Grandchildren Jesse Stuve (Haydin Grotz) of Yakutat, AK, Amber (Cody) Shimer of Pine Island, Adam (Carly) Petterson of Lake Crystal, Lexy Stuve of Brainerd, Morgan (Tyler) Lambert of St Cloud, Donnie Petterson of Lake Crystal, Noah Kroells of North Mankato and Nicole Kroells of North Mankato. Great grandchildren Jamieson, Lincoln and Walker Shimer, Elsie Petterson and Georgia Lambert. Sisters, Linda (Clem) Smith, Norma Spoerri, Judy Garrison and Colleen Doyle. Many nieces and nephews. Brother and Sister in laws Helen (Bruce) Klughert, Joyce Blanck, Mary Jo (Richard) DeGonda and Larry (Martie) Stuve. She was proceeded in death by her parents, father and mother-in-law Donald and Bridell (Smith) Stuve, sisters Jenice Frillman, Brenda Warren, Wilma Langdon, Betty Goodman, Sue Goodman, brothers Charles Goodman, Walter Goodman, Billie Ross, David Goodman, Dean Ross, Mark Myers, Brothers & sisters in law Phil & Millie Stuve, Pat and Jerry Ramin and Bill Blanck.
