Norma Mae Humphrey Bublitz was born to parents Lucille and Herbert Humphrey on January 28, 1933.

She grew up in Mankato with her siblings Joan Humphrey Pahl and David Humphrey. When asked about her childhood, she fondly recalls weekly trips to the library followed by Pinochle card games that were quite lively.

She married Lester Lou Bublitz on April 14th, 1951 and was blessed with 11 children over the next 18 years.  As a family, they enjoyed spending time camping and at the Kato Cycle Club.  She enjoyed riding motorcycles and often competed in motor maid competitions. One notable win was on July 31st, 1960 when she won a poker run just 7 months after giving birth to twins.

The family enjoyed camping adventures and continuing the legacy of Pinochle. That tradition continues every June creating many wonderful memories for old and new generations alike.

In 1974, She joined the United Pentecostal Church of Mankato, now Connect Point Pentecostal Church of Eagle Lake, where she remained a member for over 30 years. Norma's faith and service to the Lord defined her life and brought her much joy.
