Ochen Adome passed away in Wisconsin on Thursday, November 18th at the age of 31. He was fatally stabbed on a Greyhound bus and was pronounced dead at approximately 6 PM. He is predeceased by his father, Baye Adome, who passed earlier this year in February. He is survived by eight siblings, which he is the youngest of.

He was born September 29, 1990, in Gambella, Ethiopia and came to America at seven years old with his two sisters Abang Adome and Okweny Adome. A 2010 graduate of Mankato East High School, his cross-country record remains unbroken. He went on to continue his cross country career at University of Wisconsin—River Falls.

He loved biking, fishing, as well as being around his family and friends.

Funeral service will be Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 12:00 P.M. at Woodland Hills Chapel in Mankato, with Pastor Joseph Cham officiating. Interment will be in Woodland Hills Memorial Park in Mankato.

Visitation will be on Saturday morning from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of services at Woodland Hills Chapel.
