Orville Hogen

Orville “Orv” Allen Hogen, 76, Mankato, died Sunday April 6, 2025 at his home.  Funeral services will be held at 11am Thursday, April 10, 2025 at Hosanna Lutheran Church.  Visitation will be held from 4-7pm Wednesday, April 9 at Woodland Hills Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior to the services at the church.  Interment will be held in Ellendale, MN at a later date.  woodlandhillsfh.com

Orv was born December 13, 1948 to Obert and Liddy (Moen) Hogen in Mason City, IA.  He was united in marriage to Sharon Grosland on July 13, 1968 at First Lutheran Church in Ellendale, MN.  Orv loved to watch sports and to spend time with his grandchildren.  He coached for many years, leaving a lasting impression on his student athletes, and impacting their lives beyond the game. 

He is survived by his wife, Sharon of Mankato; son, Wade (Donna) of Inver Grove Heights and their children, Raegen and Mason; son, Todd (Liz) of St. Clair and their children, Rachel, Lukas, and Morgan; brother, Paul (Connie) Hogen of Northwood, IA; sisters, Wendy (Larry) Mallo of Mason City, IA and Carol Hogen of San Antonio, TX; brothers in-law, Allen (Donna) Grosland, Harold (Ellie) Grosland and Gary (Kathy) Grosland.  sisters in-law, Sandy Kvenvold, Kathy (Gary) Anderson, Deb (Mark) Hillesheim, Edith Grosland and Kathy Grosland, and way too many nieces and nephews to list. 

Orv is preceded in death by son, Michael; parents, Obert and Liddy Hogen; parents in-law, Alice and Elmer Grosland; and brothers in-law, Kermit, Arnold, Mark Grosland, and Alt. Kvenvold
