Red Holcomb Obituary

Marion “Red” Holcomb died Saturday, January 1, 2022 at Hillcrest in Mankato.  Funeral services will be held 11am Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Woodland Hills Funeral.  Visitation will be held 4-7pm Wednesday January 5, 2002 at Woodland Hills  and will continue one hour prior to the services at Woodland Hills.  Military Honors for Red will be held at 1245pm Thursday in front of Woodland Hills Funeral Chapel.  Interment will be at Woodland Hills Memorial Park.  

Red was born September 9, 1946 to George and Marguerite (Woods) Holcomb in Mankato.  He graduated from Mankato High School in 1965.  Red served in the United States Army from June of 1965 until June 1968.  He was united in marriage to Judy Kay on May 27, 1969 in Rockwell, Iowa.  Red worked at Kato Engineering for over 25 years.  In his free time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, attending softball games for his son, and playing cards.  He was a member of the VFW.

He is survived by son, Brandon Joseph Holcomb; four sister in-laws, one brother in-law; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and nephews.

Red is preceded in death by his wife, parents, eight brothers, one sister, two nephews, and one niece.
