Richard Allen Jans

Richard Allen Jans, age 80, of Mankato, MN died Monday, December 8, 2025 at Mayo Clinic Health System – Mankato.  Graveside services will be held at 11am Friday May 15, 2026 at Alma City Cemetery.   Woodland Hills Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Richard was born February 1, 1945 in Pemberton, MN to Harold and Ethyl (Ewert) Jans. He graduated from Pemberton/Waldorf High School. He married Doris Neegaard April 11, 1967 in St. Peter, MN.

Richard is survived by his wife, Doris; son Brian (Charmaine) Jans of Mankato; 2 grandchildren, Cory Jans and Ashley Tischer; 5 great grandchildren, Kenzi, Grayson, Zuri, Hayden, and Zyrin. He will be greatly missed by his beloved dog, Maggie.  He was preceded in death by his parents and 4 siblings, Betty Joyce, Ron Jans, Marlin Jans and LaVonne Hurd.
