Ricky Joe Simmons

 Ricky Joe Simmons, age 66 of Mankato, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems -St. Mary’s Campus in Rochester.

 A Celebration of Ricky’s Life will be held at a later date, and will be announced. Woodland Hills Funeral Home of Mankato is assisting the family with arrangements. www.woodlandhillsfh.com

 Ricky Joe was born on September 15, 1959 to Eugene W. and Carrine A. (Pettit) Simmons Sr. in Mankato, Mn. He graduated from Mankato East High School. For over 20 years he was employed by Katolight in Mankato. He enjoyed playing darts, grilling, the annual picnic, and fixing kid’s dirtbikes without asking for anything in return.

 He is survived by his brothers, Chris Simmons of Waldorf and Eugene Simmons Jr. of Mankato; close friend, Dan Vaughan of Hanska.

 He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Scott Simmons.
