Robert Freeberg, 76, Mankato, died Sunday, November 14, 2021 at MCHS- Mankato.  A Celebration of Life will be held from 1 – 4 pm Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Woodland Hills Funeral Home with Military Honors at 3pm and a Prayer Service at 330pm.  Private interment will be held at Minneopa Cemetery at a later date.   woodlandhillfh.com

Robert was born August 23, 1945 in Mankato to Robert and Rosemary (Synder) Freeberg.  He was united in marriage to Susan Allen on February 4, 1965 in Mankato.  Robert served in the US Navy.  He enjoyed sending time with his family and was beloved by his grandchildren who called him Papa.  Robert also enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing.  He was a member of AA and celebrated 41 years of sobriety.

He is survived by his wife Susan Freeberg; sons, Joseph and Jason (Jen); daughters, Kimberly (Wyman) Forbrook and Tammy (Tim) Cliff; grandchildren, Bethany (Dalton) Demarais, Amber (Dillon) Forbrook, Lindsey Cliff, Katie Cliff, Thomas Cliff, Adam Freeberg, and Robin Freeberg; great grandchildren, Luke, McKenna, and Anna Demarais; brother, William (Connie); sisters, Barb (Denny) VanGuilder and Roxy (Ed) Johnson; and many nieces and nephews.  

Robert was preceded in death by his parents.
