Roberta Kay Stewart

Roberta “Kay” Stewart, age 71, died Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday March 25, 2023 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in North Mankato, MN with Rev Leroy Laplant officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Private interment will be at Woodland Hills Memorial Park.  Woodland Hills Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Kay was born February 6, 1952 in Primghar, Iowa to Calvin and Joyce (Getting) Stewart. She grew up and went to school in Paullina, Iowa. She worked at Hillcrest Rehabilitation Center as an LPN for 38 years.  Kay loved to read, do scrapbooking, and especially loved spending time with her family.  She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Good Shepherd Ladies Aid and SAGES.

Kay is survived by her daughters, Michele “Missy” (Kayla) Hedinger and Heather (Bruce Engelen) Rohrs all of Mankato; grandchildren: Jayde, Zendaya and Dustin Hedinger all of Mankato, Jared (Skylynn) Hedinger of Mankato, Tiffany Hedinger  of Madison, WI, Victoria (Bryce) Larson of North Mankato, Leah (Nick) Macgregor, North Mankato, Payton Engelen of Blair, NE; great grandchildren: Emery, Aria, Lilly, Tristan and Melody; brothers and sisters: Roger and Linda Stewart of Spiro, OK, Rochelle and Randy Hofmeyer of Paullina, IA, Cheri and Martin Langford of Baxter, MN, Diane Ingvall, of IA, Walt and Janice Bahr of Portland, OR, Mike and Terri Bahr of Portland, OR.  She was preceded in death by her parents, step mother, Lois Stewart, granddaughters, Bridget and Alexis Hedinger.
