Roger “Jolly” Wilking, died Thursday July 11, 2024 at Pathstone in Mankato. Memorial services will be held at 11am Saturday, July 20, 2024 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Church in North Mankato. Visitation will be held Friday July 19th from 4-6pm at Woodland Hills Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment will be held at Woodland Hills Memorial Park.
Jolly was born on August 27, 1940 to Edward and Edna (Dallmann) Wilking in New Ulm. He graduated from Mankato High School in 1958. Jolly was united in marriage to Judy Ehmke on June 9, 2000. He started his career at Kato Engineering in High School before moving on to Northern Ordinance and then finished his career at Kato Engineering as a tool and die maker. In his free time Jolly loved to create things and was always thinking. He also loved snowmobiling, bowling, softball, fishing, hunting, golfing and his friend Jack Daniels. Jolly was baptized, confirmed and a lifelong member of the WELS Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Ehmke of Mankato; sons, Rick Wilking of St. Peter, Steve Wilking of North Mankato, and Scott (Alicia) Wilking of Sartell; grandchildren, Elijah, June and Bowie.
Jolly is preceded in death by his parents; great hunting dog, Gus; and not so great hunting dog, Cody.
