Ronald "Ron" W. Gens

Ronald “Ron” Walter Gens age 88 passed away Wednesday January 1st at Laurels Edge Assisted Living Memory Care Unit in Mankato.

 A memorial visitation will be Thursday, January 16, 2025 from 4-7 P.M. at Woodland Hills Funeral Home in Mankato. Interment will be in Woodland Hills Memorial Park in Mankato. Arrangements by Woodland Hills Funeral Home of Mankato. www.woodlandhillsfh.com

 Ron was born September 3rd 1936 to Walter and Cornelia (Jaeger) Gens. He married Shirley (Schlekau) they had 6 children and later divorced. Debb (Tom) Pongratz of Yuma Az, Tim (Teresa) of Mankato, Jennifer (Dan) Larson of Cleveland MN. Laurie, Scott (Tammy) of Mankato, Terry and special friend Randee of St. Clair MN. Ron was a life-long mechanic who enjoyed Stock Car Racing, NASCAR, Fishing, and old western movies. He was a member of the Eagles.

 He is survived by 5 of his children, 16 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren and his brother Marlin (June) of Pequot Lakes MN. 

 He is preceded in death by his parents, son Tim, son in law Dan, grandchildren Baby Gens, Christopher, Dustin, Aliza Jane, and Kristine. Sister Jewel.
