Shirley Ann Fraze

Shirley Ann (Sonnek) Fraze, a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend unexpectedly passed away on July 7, 2024, at the age of 80 in Rosemount, MN. Born on December 22, 1943, to Veronica (Murphy) and Louis Sonnek in Easton, MN, Shirley will be fondly remembered for her extraordinary kindness, unwavering strength, and boundless selflessness.

She was always there for her friends and family, whether lending a hand with a project, helping with housekeeping, or baking something truly unforgettable. Shirley remained true to herself throughout her life, known for her authenticity. A skilled seamstress, she also discovered a passion for quilting in her later years. Shirley was also a BINGO aficionado!

She is survived by her children: Karn Aikens (Janel, deceased), Glenn Fraze (Jennifer), and Kim Fraze-Whitehead (Butch); her siblings: Patricia Krenik (Donald), Russell Sonnek (Ruth), and Terrance Sonnek (Janice); her grandchildren: Addison and Jacqueline Fraze; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Shirley was preceded in death by her loving husband, Keith Fraze; special friend, Dennis Sculthorp; sibling Rita Davids (and Ron); and granddaughter, Ashley Malevich. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 1 P.M. at All Saints Catholic Church in Madison Lake, with Fr. Robert Schneider, Celebrant. The interment will be in Woodland Hills Memorial Park in Mankato.

Visitation will be on Friday afternoon July 12 from 4-7 P.M. at All Saints Catholic Church in Madison Lake and will continue on Saturday afternoon July 13 one hour before services at the church.
