Steven N. Nelson, age 63 of Amery, WI, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2023 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Private family services will be held. Woodland Hills Funeral Home of Mankato is assisting the family with arrangements. Bethlehem Lutheran Church will assist with the graveside ceremony.

Steven Norris was born on May 23, 1959, to Norris C. and Glenda (Hastad) Nelson in Mankato, MN. He graduated from Mankato high school and furthered his education at Minnesota State University, Mankato and earning a degree in Drafting at Mankato Technical College. Steven was the owner of Packaging Automation Inc for many years and had a passion for engineering. He was a member of the NRA, Republican Party, and Ducks Unlimited. Steven enjoyed photography, kayaking, cooking, woodworking, cars, making hot sauce, going to farmers markets, and had an eclectic taste in music. He treasured time spent with his daughters, Jacklyn (Jay) and Caitlin (Charley), and adored his granddaughter Nora.

He is survived by his daughters, Jacklyn Carey (Jay) of Hudson, WI, Caitlin Nelson (Charley) of Minneapolis; granddaughter, Nora Carey (Jacklyn & Jay) of Hudson, WI; brother, James Nelson of Robbinsdale; sisters, Suzanne (Ted) Mikle of St. Cloud, Gwendolyn (Bob) Beck of Florence, AZ; by nieces, Lisa, Bette, Amy, Jean, Allison, Kelsey and Christine, nephews, Jim, Scott, Todd, and Mick; by many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dennis.
