Steven M. Oachs

Steven M. Oachs, age 70, of Mankato, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at Mayo Clinic Health System-Mankato. 

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 31, 2025 at Hosanna Lutheran Church in Mankato, with Rev. Mike Omtvedt officiating. Interment will be at Woodland Hills Memorial Park in Mankato.

Steven was born December 5, 1954 to Milton and Verona (Funke) Oachs in Mankato, MN. He graduated from Mankato East High School in 1976.  He was employed at MRCI in Mankato doing assembly work.  Steve enjoyed watching movies and television shows, his favorites being Star Wars and Star Trek.

He is survived by brothers, Michael Oachs of Mankato and Allan (Chris) Oachs of Mankato; nieces and nephews, Rebecca Jones, Timothy Oachs, Krystle Brewer, April Oachs, Tony Oachs, Amy Oachs; special friends and co-workers, Gerry (Harlan) Berger, Jan Johnson, Raven Bush, Cleo and Joshua Tomlinson.

He was preceded in death by his father, Milton Oachs, mother, Verona (Funke) Oachs; brother, Dennis Oachs; aunt, Jeanie Funke and uncles, Ruben Funke, Wilber Funke and Bernie Funke.
