Terry L. Hollingsworth, age 74 of Lake Crystal, passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems-St. Mary’s Campus in Rochester.
A Celebration of Terry’s Life will be Saturday, June 22, 2024. The Hollingsworth family will have visitation Saturday afternoon 1-2:00 P.M. and the service will be 2:00 P.M. at Woodland Hills Chapel in Mankato, with Pastor John Malm officiating. Following the service family and friends are invited to a gathering at Mankato Eagles Club Aerie #269 708 N Riverfront Dr. Mankato, MN 56001.

Terry was born on February 1, 1950 to Chet and YaVonne (Iverson) Hollingsworth in Mankato, Minnesota. He graduated from Mankato High School and furthered his education at Austin Vocational School. In 1968, as a young man he loved his time in Alaska. He went hiking, fishing, and enjoyed all that Alaska had to offer. Terry was inducted in the U.S. Army on January 27, 1971 and proudly served his country until his honorable discharge on January 26, 1973. On March 12, 1979 he was united in marriage to Mary C. Scharbach. For 15 years he was employed as a machinist at Kato Engineering, and later worked as a custodian for Mankato School District #77, retiring in 2015. Terry was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Judson. Some of the activities he enjoyed were hunting, fishing, and gardening. He loved his Black Labradors, Maggie, Coal, Dottie, and Katie. Terry loved time spent with his wife Mary, and daughter, Tanya.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Hollingsworth; daughter, Tanya Hollingsworth; brother, Keith Hollingsworth and (Noni Olson); sisters, Mary (John) Kilkelly and Becky (Bob) Conyers; several nieces, and nephews; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Chet and YaVonne Hollingsworth, in-laws Richard and Grace Scharbach, sister-in-law Marna Hollingsworth, brother-in-law Donald Scharbach, and aunts and uncles.
