Theresa “Terri” Marie Knigge, age 69, passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 due to complications of Parkinson’s Disease. She passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family members. Terri was born October 15, 1952 in Lakefield, MN to Robert & Catherine Damm. She was baptized and confirmed at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Brewster, MN. She graduated from Okabena High School in 1970 and later attended Rochester Vocational School. After school, Terri worked at the Heron Lake Detox Center in Heron Lake, MN. On September 17, 1983 she was united in marriage to Kenneth Knigge. This marriage was blessed with two children, Ryan and Holly. The marriage was dissolved 13 years later. Terri was blessed with a kind heart and always cared for others. She enjoyed all four seasons, fall and winter being her favorites. Terri especially loved Christmas and all that went with it. She felt a special pride and joy for her children and grandchildren.
Terri is survived by her mother Catherine Damm of Worthington, MN; son and daughter, Ryan Knigge (Lisa Hoffman) of Windom, MN and Holly (Brian) Sens of North Mankato, MN; grandchildren Lily and Aubrey Sens; sisters Linda (Gordon) Smith of Rochester, MN, Mary (Tim) Collin of Cross Lake, MN, Nancy (Robert) Springman of Okoboji, IA, Julie (Joel) Eidem of Wayzata, MN; and many nieces and nephews.
Terri is preceded in death by her father Robert Damm.
A private service will be held at Woodland Hills in Mankato, MN with a burial to follow.
