Timothy D. “Critter” Westphal, age 66 of Cleveland, passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at his home.
A Celebration of Tim’s Life will be Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 1 P.M. at Woodland Hills Chapel in Mankato, with Chaplain Don Brightwell officiating. Interment will be in Woodland Hills Indoor Columbarium.

“Critter” was born on May 24, 1958 to Warren J. and Hazel W. (Harris) Westphal in St. Peter, Minnesota. He was united in marriage to Jolene Wysong on August 10, 2006 in Le Center, Minnesota. “Critter” drove truck for many years in the construction industry. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, attending music events, and time spent with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Jolene of Cleveland; sons, Ryan Willaert of Lonsdale, and Blake Westphal of Rock Springs, WI; brothers, Earl Westphal of Mankato, David Westphal of Owatonna, and Doug Westphal of Mankato; sisters, Jean Kuhl of St. Peter, Dawn Orth of Lidgerwood, ND, and Ev Culbert of Henderson; by 8 grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Hazel Westphal; mother-in-law, Helen Getskow; sisters, Bonnie Rients, Karen Rybus, and Linda Wilson; brothers, Roger Westphal and Henry Westphal.
