Tommy Ferguson Obituary

Tommy Arvin Ferguson, was born on January 29,1954, in Des Moines, IA, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2025 just shy of his 71st birthday. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucky and Lydia Ferguson.

Tommy is survived by his five children: Jestin Ferguson, Shandon Ferguson, Marala Ferguson, Cadon, and Cheyenne Ferguson. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and his siblings: Yvonne Zaske, Terry Ferguson, Diane Summers, Teddy (Lynn) Ferguson, and Coni Ferguson.

A gifted musician with a lifelong passion for country music, Tommy shared his talent with countless people throughout his career. He performed with numerous bands in the Twin Cities area but found his greatest joy playing alongside his family in their group, The Cheyenne Band. For Tommy, music was more than a profession—it was a way to connect with loved ones and bring happiness to those around him.

Known for his sense of humor and playful spirit, Tommy had a knack for making people laugh. During his illness, he reflected on the importance of kindness and compassion, often saying, "Everyone Counts!"

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Autumn Grace in Mankato for their exceptional care and support during Tommy's final days.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring to honor Tommy’s memory. May his love for music and his message of kindness continue to inspire all who knew him. Woodland Hills Funeral Home of Mankato is assisting the family with arrangements. www.woodlandhillsfh.com
