Veda Ites

Veda E. Ites, age 95, of Mankato died Saturday, April 8th, 2023, at Mayo Health Systems, Mankato, MN.  Memorial Services will be held at 11am Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Woodland Hills Funeral Chapel.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at Woodland Hills.  Interment will be at Woodland Hills Memorial Park. 

Veda was born September 12, 1927, in Sioux City, Iowa to William L.  Bruner and Edith R. (Beals).  On June 29, 1949, she married Clarence H. Ites in Elk Point, South Dakota.  She worked in inventory controls and as a service technician for Johnson Outdoors Minn Kota, for over 30 years retiring in 1998. She enjoyed collecting clowns, bowling, travel, gardening, and cooking and sewing.  She especially loved playing cards and games with family. 

She is survived by her brother Oscar Bruner, sister Rosemary Macbeth, 5 sons and their wives, Larry and Marsha of Lakeville, Donald and Diane of Faribault, Clarence and Mari of North Mankato, Timothy of Mankato, Rick and Amy of Mankato; 3 daughters and their husbands, Karen and Leland Porath of New Brighton, Suzanne and Richard DeMoss of Cottage Grove, Cheryl and Frank Gunter of Easton, PA; 32 grandchildren; 54 great grandchildren; 20 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Clarence H. Ites, 3 brothers, 3 sisters, 1 daughter Diane Husk; 1 son, David; 1 grandson, Troy; and 1 great granddaughter, Jordan.
