William "Bill" Weber Obituary

William M. Weber, age 72 of Good Thunder, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2025 at MCHS-ICU surrounded by family.

Bill was born on February 27, 1952 to Charles and June (Throldahl) Weber in Mankato.  He attended Mapleton School, graduating in 1970.  On June 19, 1982 he married the love of his life, Lorrie J. Weber in Mankato.  He worked as a welder for Kato Engineering for 40+ years and part time farm work at Knewtson Seed Company, retiring in April 2017.  After retirement he did some part-time farm work for Jack May.

Bill was an amazing, selfless, caring man.  Always there to lend a helping hand.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. On numerous mornings, you’d find him at Happy Chef or Thunder Bar, having his “coffee talks” with his friends.  He loved to spend time with his many grandchildren, taking them on long tractor rides no matter the heat or cold.  He loved to be outdoors, often working in the yard, tinkering in his shed, or going on many camping trips with Lorrie and his family.  Above all else, Bill loved sitting on his deck, usually with his dog on his lap and Lorrie by his side enjoying the company that came along while he watched the various cars speed by.

Bill is survived by his loving children: Jeremy (Jenny) Weber, Tracy Weber, Jason Black (special friend Laura Lee), Victoria (Jeremy) Stark, Mike Weber; 15 grandchildren; his beloved Idabell and special friend, Deb.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorrie Weber; parents Charles and June Weber; in laws Leo and Sharron Black.

A Celebration of Bill’s life will be on Saturday, March 8 at 3 pm at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 17436 MN Hwy 22, Good Thunder, MN with Pastor Kent Narum officiating.  Interment will be at a later date.

The Weber family will greet family and friends on Saturday afternoon from 1 pm until the hour of services.

A special Thank You to all the ICU nurses and doctors who provided wonderful care to Bill during his time there.
