Marion M. Kvam, age 87, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 11, 2020 in Mankato.  She was born September 27, 1932 in Mankato to George and Mildred Probach.  She was united in marriage to Hayden Kvam on June 23, 1951 in Minneapolis, MN.

Marion lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; Spending time with family and friends, making lefse and Scandinavian treats for Bethlehem Lutheran Church for many years, volunteering for MRCI and Immanuel St. Joseph's Hospital, and baking pies for the Rapidan Dam Store.  Marion's talents were many;  She was an accomplished baker, seamstress, gardener, and created lovely Norwegian Hardanger embroidery pieces for her family to treasure.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Hayden, daughters Karen (Greg) Ballman, and Diane Kvam, and sons Timothy (Kathy) Kvam, Keith Kvam, and grandson, Adam Ballman.  She is survived by a son, Kerry (Sharon) Kvam of Tuscon, AZ, eight grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.  Private funeral services were held at Calvary Cemetery in Rapidan, MN.

The family would like to express our thanks for the wonderful help and care given in her final weeks by Hillcrest Rehabilitation Center.

I will always remember going out to Kvam's for a few dozen rosettes each Christmas. Marion would always include a jar of her delicious blackberry jam. Thanks for the life of Marion. She was special!
