Melinda “Linda” Thomas was born February 12,1944 in Arlington, MA and went to be with the Lord and loved ones on November 23, 2019 in Mankato, MN, after long and hard-fought battles with several illnesses. As she transitioned from this life to another, she was lovingly surrounded by her family.
Linda met the love of her life, Lonnie Thomas, in Arlington, MA, where they married on July 10, 1965. Lonnie was not just her husband, but her best friend and “rock” of 54 years.
Linda worked for Manpower Temporary Services for over 30 years where she established several personal friendships while helping others. She is survived by her husband, Lonnie Thomas, son Mike Thomas of Kasota, MN, and daughters Laurie Spry of Shakopee, MN, and Holly Reichel (Robert) of Mankato, MN. She also adored her grandchildren Carsten Spry, Emily Edel (Jedd), Sammy Reichel, and Tori Reichel.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Harriett Talcott, brothers Jonathon and Richard, Jr. Talcott, son-in-law Jeffrey Spry, grandson Andrew Spry, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. She and her family also fondly remember special friends and family including In-laws, Christine Thomas, Dale and Rosalyn Spear, Floyd and Riky Griffith, and Kathy Monroe, whose love and friendship are invaluable.
Memorial services will be 11:30 am Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Woodland Hills Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be from 9:30 am until time of services that day. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the National Kidney Foundation would be appreciated.

Dear Lonnie, Mike, Laurie, Holly, and families: I will always remember the good times that we had when we all lived on Broad Street. I will deeply miss my dear friend, Linda of 44 years. Rest in peace and rise in glory, Linda! You are now pain-free and soaring with the angels and your family.
